Crisis & Emergencies
Restore Control is not a crisis service and will not be available for you where immediate support is required. Therefore, if you are feeling suicidal, in danger, or at risk to yourself or others, please use one of the following options:
- Please see Mindwell Website for the directory of available support options in the UK.
- Speak to your GP.
- Contact NHS on 111 (24h freephone) or if necessary, attend A&E or call 999.
- Alternatively you can contact one of the helpline services such as the Samaritans on 116 123 (24h freephone).
If you are not in the UK, please contact the relevant crisis services in your current location.
attendance, cancellations & refunds
If you are unable to attend a session you have booked, please cancel via the online booking system or contact me as soon as possible. This gives sufficient time for other clients to make use of this time slot. Please see below options of how much you can be refunded:
Full refund – If you give at least 48h notice, you will be refunded the full amount.
No refund – If you cancel with less than 48h notice or do not turn up to the session, you will be charged the full amount.
If you are running late, please let me know (if possible). You can attend and use the remaining time, but the session cannot be extended to make up for the missed time, due to other bookings.
Confidentiality & Data
Please note every psychotherapist has a duty of care. If you or somebody else is at risk, confidentiality might need to be breached to ensure everyone’s safety (For example: risk to your life, child protection etc.).
Please note that although every effort is made to protect your information, e-mails, text messages, and any other written form of communication are not 100% secure. By communicating with me by these means you accept this risk.
Violence & Aggression
Restore Control Ltd takes a serious view of any incidents of physical and verbal abuse. Any instances of unacceptable behaviour which may cause harm or fear of harm to staff members or to others will not be accepted. All clients are expected to act in a way that does not put their therapist, family, or other people in any form of danger. Aggression, threats, and any other unacceptable behaviours or acts of violence against people or property will result in the termination of therapy, removal from the practice list, and may result in legal consequences.
Ethics & Code of Conduct
Block bookings can be arranged if required by you. They allow for a booking of a number of sessions in advance which offers a cheaper price per session. If you need to cancel any of the sessions booked via block bookings, they will be exchanged for a further therapy session as long as sufficient notice is given, as follows:
- In case of session cancellation with at least 48h notice, another session can be offered.
- Any sessions cancelled with less than 48h notice, or not attended without notice, cannot be refunded or re-scheduled.
Scheduling & Therapy Ending
If possible, it is advisable to schedule your appointments in advance – for example a recurring weekly or biweekly appointment. Registering your interest for a specific time slot, secures you a spot in my calendar. You are welcome to make adhoc appointments, but these might be limited – please check the online booking system for the upcoming available time slots.
Planning and preparing for the ending of therapy is usually agreed together with your therapist. If at any point you decide to end the sessions, please contact your therapist to ensure all your future sessions are cancelled and no charges are incurred.
