My Background

Education

An eight year journey through higher education helped me become a qualified and accredited psychotherapist. Amongst my qualifications are a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Clinical & Health Psychology, PgCert & PgDip in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from reputable Universities such as the University of Manchester, the University of Sheffield, the University of Bradford in the UK, and Maastricht University in the Netherlands.​

Experience

I am a psychotherapist / CBT therapist accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Having the experience of working in Leeds and Manchester at both low-intensity and high-intensity settings within NHS services I have worked with mental health problems of various origins and severity. I regularly take part in additional clinical training. Over the last four years I have pursued psychotherapy training in Method of Levels therapy (MOL) which shapes my current approach.

What Else?

Apart from being a therapist and researcher I am a sports enthusiast. I always dreamed of winning Wimbledon! Although this never came true, sport has taught me a lot, and continues to be a big part of my life. I recently developed a passion for running and took part in a few 10k runs. I also love reading and travelling, especially when they are combined together! ​
